How to Set Parameters of Serial Device Server?

Serial device Server has been increasingly employed in industrial fields, and in some application situations, its parameters should be set. There are several ways to set serial device server parameter as follows.

General parameter of serial device server can be set through website or AT command.

First, set on website. Setting on website is the most common way. Routers at home are also set on website, so most people are familiar with it.

First, open browser, and input ip address of serial device server which is generally on the server in the address bar. Then, login-in page will open. Input registration account and password to enter to modify parameters.

The advantage of setting on website is its simplicity, that is, it can be handled with browser on computer without any extra supporting devices. However, please ensure that the address of serial device server is in the same segment with the computer.

Second, set through AT command. AT command refers that users transmit instruction set through UART and module under command mode. When starting after power is on, module can be set through UART.

Taking USRIOT single serial device server USR-N510 as an example, parameters of its module UART port are: baud rate 115200, no verification, 8 data bits, and 1 stop bit. It just needs to correspond different module to the parameters. In the end, user MCU can send serial command to configurate parameter anytime.

Serial Device Servers vary from plants to plants, but their principles have little difference. Above is two ways to set parameters of serial device servers.
